EXPLODING WINDOWS
EW gives you "exploding" windows. This means that when windows (and also
requesters) are opened, they open in a more exciting manner than you're
used to seeing - a rectangle grows from a very small size to the size that
the final window or requester will be. Windows and requesters that are
closed get kind of the reverse treatment - they shrink away to nothing.
To use, just type RUNBACK EW (or click on its Workbench icon) and EW will
install itself and start intercepting OpenWindow(), CloseWindow(), Request(),
and EndRequest() calls. To remove EW, just type EW (or click on its Workbench
icon) and it will tell the background EW to go away. If you really like it,
you might want to put it in your startup sequence.
Ideas are welcome. This is the first time I've experimented with this kind
of a wedge, so I'm sure that there are probably all sorts of ways to make it
better. It would probably be a lot better if it were in assembly language
(it's kind of big now, about 8K bytes), but I don't have the time to do
it now.
